Twelfth Generation: Far Horizons

In the bicentennial year of the United States, 1976, Larry and Lisa were living in Marietta, Georgia, when their first child, Aimee Marr Primeaux was born on August 23. Her birth was a milestone for the young family, but also for Walter, Sr., who had been eagerly looking forward to the birth of his first great-grandchild to his first grandchild. Ironically, Walter, Sr. and Nola arrived in Marietta the evening before the baby was born, and he got to hold her and look into her eyes less than two months before he died.

In 1978, Larry took a job as an attorney with a Legal Services program in Meridian, Mississippi in September. Nine days after the move, Paul Ledet Primeaux was born on September 20.

Aimee and Paul attended Poplar Springs Elementary School and grew among friends and neighbors.

In 1983, Lisa learned that she was pregnant again, and on June 6, 1984, the youngest child, Mark David Primeaux, was born.

Aimee and Paul attended Meridian Public Schools. Mark attended Meridian Public Schools, St. Patrick School and Lamar School.

Aimee obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, and a Master’s Degree from Simmons College in Boston. She married Andrew Dunnaway of Brookhaven, Mississippi, in 2004. They have had two children: Nola Primeaux Dunnaway, born May 17, 2007; and Baxter Primeaux Dunnaway, born November 10, 2009. Aimee and Dru continue to live in Boston.

Paul attended Hinds Community College and moved to Asheville, North Carolina, where he works and lives with his only child, Aja, a golden retriever.

Mark graduated from Meridian Community College and Berklee College of Music in Boston. He works in Boston.
